The farmer's market in Las Vegas usually begins the 1st weekend in July and runs until the end of October. The hours are 6:00AM-12:00PM on Saturdays and a few farmers may come on Wednesdays when their production is high. The location will be annouced no later than the 1st of May or as soon as the board of directors can comfirm a site.
There is usually a very good selection of vegetables, fruits, nuts, jams and jellies, along with cut flowers and potted plants.
All of the produce sold at the farmer's market has been raised organically, with no commercial fertilizer, herbicide or pesticide used. Produce must also be raised by the person or family who is selling it
Any processed foods such as jams, jellies, salsas, pickles, and baked or prepared foods must have been prepared in a approved commercial kitchen.
